Here's several of the projects I've worked on

Paula Sands' retirement

Paula Sands, a mainstay in Quad Cities television for 41 years, announced her retirement. As a Quad Cities native, I grew up watching Paula Sands Live, so getting to work alongside Paula was an experience I'm very lucky to have had. I benefited from her mentorship.

During this special Paula Sands Live episode I worked behind the scenes at KWQC TV6 to capture the reactions and moments on set the second Paula made the announcement. My job was to share these pictures, posts and web stories to the KWQC website, news app and social media.

In December, during Paula's final newscast, the Paula Sands Live set was named the Paula Sands Studio.

Today, Quad Cities Live with Morgan Ottier and Kyle Kiel is shot on this set.

Iowa Caucuses

In my role as a digital producer during the Iowa Caucuses, I was responsible for managing our OTT / Digital Desk and live stream the night of the Iowa Caucuses while at KWQC TV6. I worked in accordance with the digital director and reporters to host live streamed interviews, monitor social media, write web articles, and send push notifications with timely updates.

For the first time in program history, the University of Iowa women’s basketball team hosted an outdoor scrimmage at Kinnick Stadium, where the Iowa football team plays

I attended the game and provided social media and web/digital coverage. Click the "Crossover at Kinnick" title for an in-depth presentation on my coverage or click the image to the right to view a powerpoint presentation.

My digital coverage of Crossover at Kinnick received the most engagement on a social media post for the entire 2023 year at KWQC.

I generated 7K on engagement including likes and love reactions, 802 shares and 572 comments.
